Provided by AGPAssembling outside the offices of Serbia’s national broadcaster, Radio Television of Serbia, protesters contended that the country’s participation in the competition would be equivalent to endorsing Israel’s actions toward Palestinians.
The demonstrators appealed to Serbian officials to withdraw from the event and urged RTS to terminate its involvement in the contest.
During the rally, participants were seen holding Palestinian flags as a sign of solidarity.
In an official written declaration, event organizers expressed that, rather than taking part in Eurovision, Serbia ought to allocate its programming to focus on Palestine.
Meanwhile, several nations—including Slovenia, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, and Iceland—have already declared their withdrawal from the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest following Israel’s participation.
