Đurić Confers with New Ambassador of Austria

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić received today the new Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Serbia, H. E. Enno Drofenik.

Wishing Ambassador Drofenik every success in his mandate, Đurić emphasised that bilateral relations between Serbia and Austria are at a high level, comprehensive and well developed. He underscored the importance of further strengthening political dialogue, particularly in view of Austria’s position as one of Serbia’s most important economic partners.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange views on current international and regional issues, with particular emphasis on the situation in the Western Balkans.

The interlocutors also discussed Austria’s support for Serbia’s European path, with Đurić expressing his confidence that Austria will continue to support Serbia, including through the existing cooperation formats.

Đurić noted that Austria’s participation in the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade represents yet another affirmation of the friendship between the two countries and an important opportunity to further strengthen their ties and open up new avenues for cooperation.
